What’s Thirty - Love?
Love - Love. It’s how every game of tennis starts.
In tennis, you call your score and then the opponent’s score before every serve. 0, 15, 30, 40, game. Many say the scoring came about from using the face of a clock to keep score in medieval France. Either way, it’s a bit peculiar and a unique part of the sport. And, perfectly apt for a blog about falling in love with the game of tennis in your 30’s and beyond.

As I reflect on the last couple of years of getting back into the sport, I wanted a space where I could tell my stories and the stories of my friends and teammates, to carve out our own little space in the Atlanta tennis community.

I’m a graphic designer by day, but I secretly love data. I keep track of my wins & losses and love to see what the numbers are telling me about my game or my team’s chance at playoffs.
